Finally… an easy way to write pdf files for free
January 17th, 2008 | by Jon
CutePDF Writer is a great free software released under the GNU General Public License. However, it takes two files. First you need a converter (download and install here ), then you need the PDF writer (download and install here ).
I've been using it for a couple weeks and couldn't be happier. I use the Open Office PDF writer all the time, but now I have a way to print to PDF from other programs (Quickbooks) without the need for Adobe Acrobat.

Why don’t you make PDFs from the print menu?
Liked your report on FreeNAS.

Robin,
Unfortunately, Jon is still operating on that horrendous operating system known as Windows which doesn’t offer Print to PDF as a standard feature. I’ve been trying to get him to switch to a Mac for a couple of years now so he can work with an operating system that works with you not against you. Of course, the cost of a Mac is a lot higher than a PC so budget constraints have played in to that as well.
